We are going to talk a little bit about Saint Patrick's Day.🍀
What is Saint Patrics Day?
Saint Patrik's day is celebrated every 17th March since 1601, in honour of Saint Patrick who was born in Britain and taken to Ireland as a slave were he worked as a slave and as a sheperd.
It started as a religious holiday, and later on it became a celebration of Irish culture.
Who was Saint Patrick?
Saint Patrick was born in Britain around the year 385 and taken as a slave to Ireland. Several years later he escaped and went back to his home.
Why is Saint Patrick's Day celebrated?
This day is celebrated to honour Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Now Saint Patrick's day is not just celebrated in Ireland, it is also celebrated in over 200 other countries, like the US, UK, Australia, Canada and Argentina.
