The World Bee Day is celebrated on 20th May. It was initiated in Slovenia in 2018, by Anton Janša, whose birthday is that day.
Bees have existed now for about 120 million years. Thanks to the efforts of the Government of Slovenia with the support of Apimondia, that led the UN General Assembly to declare the 20th of May as World Bee Day.
