The International Polar Bear Day is an annual celebration that takes place every February 27th.
It is an important date to raise awareness of the challenges faced by this species as it faces dangers such as habitat loss and illegal hunting. The bear was the first animal species to be in danger of extinction.
For this year, the campaign focuses on protecting mothers and puppies, giving them the best chance of survival, since the denning season is the most vulnerable time in a polar bear's life.
