In Ukraine at Christmas there are 12 tradicional dishes.
1. The first and the most important: BORSH. It's a red soup with beetroot.
2. The second are DUMPLINGS. It is like meat into a dough.
3. There are sauces with dried mushrooms.
4. HOLUBSI: It is meat, vegetables and rice inside lettuce leaves.
5. HERRING It is a fish based dish.
6. There are fried fish or stuffed fish.
7. It is knish buck wheat or zaryvanets beans or braised cabbage.
8. VUSHKA to BORSH.
9. PLETENKA: it's a type of bread.
10. Salty doughnuts wish honey or DUMPLINNGS with poppy seeds.
11. COMPOTE.: in English it is Uzvar
12. GRECHKA: in English it is Kutia.
And it all goes with " IKRA": it is Kavian.
