JELLYFISHDAY - NOVEMBER 3rd

On the third of November, the aquariums and marine science centers at USA, UK, Japan, Australia and Europe celebrate The World Jellyfish Day.

It is celebrated to raise awareness of  jellyfishes.

The day encourages people to learn more about these unique marine creatures and their role in the ecosystems.

Here are some interesting facts about jellyfish:

- Jellyfish have no bones, no brain, and no heart.

- They've been around for over 500 million years, even before dinosaurs.

- About 95% of a jellyfish's body is water.

- Some jellyfish are  bioluminescent, meaning they produce there own light.

- One species can restart its life cycle, making it biologically immortal.

- They help control plankton populations but can also disrupt fishing and tourisim when they bloom.
