LÍQUIDO NO NEWTONIANO
Year 6A El Faro students attended the science fair in the UA (Universidad de Alicante) for the International Science Day and learnt about the non newtonian fluid and here is what they learnt:
What is it ?
A non-Newtonian fluid is a fluid whose viscosity varies. At rest it behaves like a fluid, but its viscosity increases when it is subjected to stress forces. For example, when it is hit, the atoms in the mixture rearrange themselves and increase their viscosity.
Who discovered it?
Isaac Newton.
