THE OCEAN RACE MUSEUM SCHOOL PROGRAMME

BY:. S.S. and  P.L. YEAR 6B

Sailing around the world

The Ocean Race is a sailing regatta around the world. The first competed in 1973 under the name Whitbear the World Race.

The ocean race school programme will help you discover the importance of the oceans and how plastic pollution is endangering our planet

Why is there a school program?

With the purpose of sharing with the educational community the commitment to giving a voice to the ocean, as well as promoting the culture of sailing. The Ocean Race has developed a new school programme to instill in future generations and to provide solutions that help preserve our seas

We have asked some questions to the children of some classes:

All the children we have interviewed have told us that they would love to go on an excursion and that most of them know what it is.
