The portuguese Rui Costa has surprised the favorites in the tourn of the Valencian community and whith his victory in the las stage he has also taken the overall Victory.
ORIGINS
After 7 years without contesting, the International Cycling Union gave the green light to a new edition of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana in 2016.
In 2016 another Volta a la Provincia Valencia for women was created in the amateur category and in 2017 a Tour of the Valencian Community called Setmana Ciclista Valenciana of professional category .
